Underachieving at Monster High: New Ghoul In School

Underachieving at Monster High: New Ghoul In School

Second day in a row playing a really bad game but some times that's the life of an "Achievement Hunter". Not really something I need to explain who find my posts through gaming sites and twitter. but since I've been linking facebook as well I'm sure many of you think I'm a total weirdo. But basically on Xbox every game is worth 1,000 points for the most part there are exceptions but it's not worth explaining all of that . There are a bunch of sites that are dedicated to Achievements and Gamerscore they all have leaderboards globally and locally. I've been ranked near the top of Washington State since the Xbox 360 was released. Video games are something I have always enjoyed since I was a little kid. I enjoy most games good and really bad. I like to see the ideas the developers come up with. I try and mix the good with the bad. I also played some Rainbow Six yesterday. But today's focus falls on Monster High. which is a terrible game but will get misguided YouTube views instead because for some reason little girls like this show...

Monster High: New Ghoul In School Impressions

This Game is all about the quick achievements. It's looking like about 5.5hours to complete the game. all you do is walk around. talk to people and collect a few items that are in plain site. It's not a bad game to achievement whore while doing something else like watching a movie or football game. It takes zero focus or concentration. The "Story" and game play is severely lacking. But, hey they are probably only expecting 7 year old girls to play this game. My favorite part of monster high was naming my character. Not really thinking anything of it. I named her Dumb Skank... it seemed to fit with this games "Mean Girls" vibe. it ultimately turned out to be the funniest and most entertaining part of the game. because they refer to you by name in almost every conversation. "What do you think Dumb Skank?", "Can you help me out with this Dumb Skank?". Yes it's immature and childish but damn it it's funny.

If you are into Gamerscore and Achievement Whoring you should get this game from Gamefly or the rental service of your choice. If you are considering buying it for your daughter for Christmas you probably just shouldn't do that. there are way better family friendly games to be had.

  1. Good to know not really family friendly. Got it on way from gamefly was going to knock it out quickly then do the "keep it" option and gift it to my daughters... Back to the drawing board. Thanks for the straight forward no BS opinion of it.
